The whole country is looking for this man: He poured coffee on a 9-month-old baby

An incident that took place in a park in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, on August 31 has become a major topic of national concern.

According to eyewitness accounts, an unknown man approached a family having a picnic, poured the hot coffee from a thermos he was holding onto a 9-month-old baby, and then fled the scene.

Queensland police have issued an arrest warrant for the 33-year-old attacker, announcing that it has been determined the suspect, who caused "severe burns" to the baby's face and body, fled the country 6 days after the incident. The motive for the attack is not yet known.

THE 'MOST COMPLEX AND FRUSTRATING' CASE TO DATE

Inspector Paul Dalton, who is leading the investigation, stated that this is the "most complex and frustrating" case he has seen to date, adding that the attacker has been identified and the country he fled to has also been determined.

Following the discovery that the attacker had fled the country, Australian police have requested support from other nations.

Dalton noted that the attacker has been traveling to Australia since 2019 and has residency records in New South Wales and Victoria.

The family of the victim stated that the baby may require skin grafts. So far, 100 thousand dollars have been raised on a fundraising page set up for the baby.
