Trump announces when the Gaza Peace Council will convene
As part of the search for a solution to the crisis in Gaza, it has been announced that the Gaza Peace Council will meet in Washington, the capital of the United States, on February 19.
United States President Donald Trump provided information regarding the meeting date of the Gaza Peace Council. In his statement, Trump announced to the public that they will gather on February 19, hosted by the Donald J. Trump Peace Institute in Washington, D.C.
President Trump expressed that the council holds great importance for Gaza. He stated that at the meeting, support exceeding 5 billion dollars has been provided by the international community for humanitarian aid activities and reconstruction efforts in the Gaza Strip.
On the other hand, it was reported that the member countries of the council have reached an agreement to assign thousands of personnel for the International Stabilization Force planned to be sent to Gaza. It was stated that these steps are significant measures taken toward ensuring stability in the region and improving humanitarian conditions.
At the meeting that the Gaza Peace Council will hold in Washington, it is expected that concrete strategies aimed at alleviating the humanitarian crisis in the region and future cooperation mechanisms will be discussed.
