Trump: Iran wanted negotiations, I said 'too late'

On the fourth day of the war, Israel is conducting strikes against targets in Tehran and Beirut. Iran's retaliatory attacks in response to the US and Israeli strikes are also continuing.

The Iranian Red Crescent announced that 787 people have been killed in the attacks. US President Donald Trump said it is now "too late" for negotiations with Iran.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump claimed that Tehran's air defense systems, air force, navy, and high-level command structure had been destroyed in US military operations against Iran.

Claiming that a "request for talks" had come from Iran, Trump stated that he told them it was "too late" for that.

Trump had made the same claim two days ago, and Ali Larijani, Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran, had denied the claim, saying, "We will not negotiate with the US."
