Trump reveals Iran's gift
US President Trump made remarks regarding the Iran agenda during a cabinet meeting held at the White House.
Trump clarified the content of his statement yesterday regarding the negotiations they are conducting with the Iranians, in which he said, "Iran sent us a gift."
The US President stated that the Iranian officials with whom they are negotiating, whose names he did not disclose, told them, "We will give you 8 ship-loads of oil to show that we are real and solid negotiators."
He noted that he did not initially take the matter seriously, but later saw a report on an American television channel about 8 oil tankers passing through the Strait of Hormuz, adding, "This happened two days ago and the ships will set sail tomorrow. When I saw that news, I said, 'I think we are talking to the right people.' I think the ships were flying the Pakistani flag."
The US President said that the Iranians later added 2 more ships, allowing for the passage of a total of 10 oil tankers.
