Trump's Venezuela remark:

US President Donald Trump made statements regarding the foreign policy agenda at a rally he held in Texas ahead of the Congressional midterm elections to be held on November 3.

Stating that they have "great" relations with Venezuela, Trump said that the US buys a significant amount of oil from this country. Expressing that some American oil companies have significant investments in Venezuela, Trump argued that the country will strengthen economically in the near future.

Making a striking assessment for Venezuela, Trump said, "Maybe in the near future, it will become our 51st state. It's possible, let's make it happen, let's make it our 51st state. Let's hold an election for a governor instead of a president."

Defending his policies toward Iran at the rally, Trump claimed that the war regarding the process experienced with Iran was not started by the US. Stating that Iranian administrations are responsible for the deaths of many American soldiers, Trump noted that Iran not possessing nuclear weapons is a priority for Washington.

Trump used the expressions, "This war will end soon, they have no armies, navies, or anything else left." Suggesting that fuel prices in the US will soon fall rapidly, Trump expressed that he does not expect his Iran policy to have a negative impact on the Congressional elections.

The US President, conveying that he was asked whether he would make the decision to attack Iran again, said, "Absolutely, this was one of the best things I've done."
