Will a TOGG factory be established in Pakistan? Erdoğan explains
Returning from his Asia tour, President Erdoğan answered journalists' questions on the plane and made statements regarding TOGG. Emphasizing that TOGG is 'not a final' in Turkey's domestic production initiative, Erdoğan noted that Pakistani officials have made a proposal to establish a TOGG factory in their country.
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has returned to Turkey following his visits to Malaysia, Indonesia, and Pakistan. Speaking with journalists on the return flight, Erdoğan mentioned that a TOGG factory could be established in Pakistan. Stating that they gifted Togg vehicles to the leaders of the countries he visited as part of his Asia tour, Erdoğan pointed out that TOGG has the 'potential to be a globally competitive player.'
Erdoğan returned home after completing his contacts in Malaysia, Indonesia, and Pakistan. Reporting that they received a proposal to build a factory for TOGG in Pakistan, the President expressed that it is important for TOGG to be introduced to the markets in these countries.
Stating that TOGG could be exported to Pakistan, Indonesia, and Malaysia, Erdoğan expressed the following:
''Togg is not a final for us, it is a beginning. It is a strong step we have taken into the automotive world. We need to cover more ground on this path, and we will cover it. Whenever any leader sees or tests our car, we hear their words of praise. The same happened in Malaysia, Indonesia, and Pakistan. They all liked the vehicle and the comfort it offers very much.
We have no doubt that Togg will solidify its place in the sector and continue on its path. Togg has the potential to be a competitive player not only for Turkey but also globally. Taking concrete steps regarding the export of Togg and its positioning in these markets with countries like Malaysia, Indonesia, and Pakistan is quite important. Such collaborations not only strengthen Turkey's automotive industry but also shape commercial relations with these countries. First, the introduction of Togg to the market in these countries, and subsequently, production or joint investment opportunities can certainly come to the agenda. As a matter of fact, Pakistan has also brought up the issue of production in their country. These are important steps. Positioning Togg abroad will open a new door not only for the automotive sector but also for Turkey's international prestige and economic relations.''
