Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that they have reached an agreement to resume trilateral talks between the US, Russia, and Ukraine as part of diplomatic efforts to end the Russia-Ukraine War.
In a statement on his social media account, Zelenskyy noted that he evaluated the latest developments regarding the course of the war in his address to the Hudson Institute. The Ukrainian leader stated that he held a phone call with US President Donald Trump's special envoys, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, and that the meetings held in recent days in the Norwegian capital, Oslo, and the Russian city of St. Petersburg were discussed during the call.
Emphasizing that they are ready for trilateral negotiations every day to end the war, Zelenskyy said, "We have agreed to hold a trilateral meeting with the participation of Ukraine, the US, and Russia. We are planning the meeting for the first half of November."
Zelenskyy argued that for the meeting to take place, Washington must increase its pressure on Moscow. Stating that contacts at the technical level must be elevated to the leaders' level, the Ukrainian leader expressed that key issues can only be resolved at this stage.
EMPHASIS ON STARLINK AND MISSILE DELIVERY
In his statement, Zelenskyy also touched upon the speed restrictions experienced within the scope of the military package used by the Ukrainian army for the US-based SpaceX's Starlink satellite system. Stating that these restrictions continue, Zelenskyy noted that problems with Starshield services are creating some difficulties on the front line.
The Ukrainian leader stated that there is also a delay in the delivery of interceptor missiles necessary for protection against Russian ballistic missiles, saying, "We are waiting for the previously agreed-upon interceptor missiles, but they have not arrived yet. This is a real problem because the Russians are attacking us almost every day."
