Teams from the Istanbul Police Department's Financial Crimes Investigation Branch received reports that fake license plates were being printed at two workplaces in Bağcılar and Gaziosmanpaşa.

Following physical and technical surveillance, the teams carried out simultaneous operations at the addresses.

During searches conducted at the two locations, 182 fake license plates, 1 press machine, 1 plate painting machine, 3 plate molds, and 512 pieces of material containing letters and numbers were seized.

FAKE PLATE PRINTING IN A BREAKFAST SHOP

Police teams also raided a breakfast shop located on 2185th Street in the Yüzyıl neighborhood of the Bağcılar district. It was determined that the basement of the workplace, which operated as a breakfast shop on the upper floor, had been converted into a fake license plate printing workshop.

Investigations at the workplace revealed that the printed fake plates were delivered to criminal organizations by individuals wearing courier uniforms and traveling by motorcycle.
