Mehmet Ali Yılmaz's body brought to the Forensic Medicine Institute
The body of former State Minister responsible for Sports, Mehmet Ali Yılmaz (75), who was found dead in his home in Beşiktaş, has been brought to the Forensic Medicine Institute.
Former State Minister responsible for Sports Mehmet Ali Yılmaz was found unresponsive in his home in Beşiktaş by his daughter, and police and medical teams determined that he had passed away.
Following the initial examination, the body of former Minister Yılmaz was brought to the morgue of the Forensic Medicine Institute. His son and family members accompanied the body, which was brought under police escort.
While the examination of Yılmaz's body at the Forensic Medicine Institute continues, it was reported that information regarding funeral arrangements would be provided in the coming hours.
WHO IS MEHMET ALİ YILMAZ?
Mehmet Ali Yılmaz (October 21, 1948, Trabzon – April 24, 2024, Istanbul) was a Turkish politician, businessman, and former president of Trabzonspor.
He graduated from the Faculty of Civil Engineering at the Istanbul Academy of Engineering and Architecture.
He served as the president of Trabzonspor Club, a Member of Parliament for Trabzon during the 19th legislative term, and as the State Minister responsible for Sports.
He was married and a father of five.
During his tenure as minister, he introduced autonomy to the Turkish Football Federation. He is the person who organized the pool system in football. Yılmaz also provided facilities for Trabzonspor.
WHY DID MEHMET ALİ YILMAZ DIE?
While no statement has been made yet regarding the cause of Mehmet Ali Yılmaz's death, it was learned that no suspicious circumstances were detected in his death.
Yılmaz's lifeless body was found by his daughter, who had gone to his home in Beşiktaş.
