Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya announced in a statement on his social media account that 6 terrorists have been neutralized. 

Stating that it was determined the suspects were planning to carry out an action under the pretext of the October 6-8 Kobani protests, Yerlikaya said, “I congratulate the heroic police officers of the Van Provincial Security Directorate's Counter-Terrorism Branch who carried out the operation. We will not give any breathing room to the separatist terrorist organization that kills innocent people, fires bullets at the children of our homeland, and is in preparation for an attack. Do not withhold your prayers from us. We are determined. Our fight against terrorism will continue relentlessly” he said.
