It had been alleged that Dilan Polat and Engin Polat, who were arrested as part of a money laundering and tax evasion investigation, had requested a 'conjugal visit' from the prison administration.

The couple's lawyer, Hüseyin Kaya, was a guest on the program Aramızda Kalsın.

Responding to the allegations, Kaya said, "There is no such thing as a 'pink room'. That is a fabricated story. It is truly shameful. Dilan cries for 15 minutes; if that camera had a conscience, it would not keep a mother in custody for this case. Billion-dollar tax crimes are being pardoned in this country."

On the other hand, Engin Polat's sister, Kübra Uzun, shared a letter on her social media account that Dilan Polat, who is being held in pre-trial detention, had sent to her.

In her letter, Dilan Polat wrote, "I miss you all so much. My dear Kübra, I love you all very much. We are so bored within these four walls; I walked back and forth in the room with Nilgün (Yılmaz)... My legs ache. From thinking every single day..."
