Rap artist Norm Ender is in the spotlight with his song 'Parla', which he prepared specifically for the 100th anniversary of the Republic.

Norm Ender shared the story behind 'Parla' with journalist Seda Öğretir from NTV.

'MANY ANTHEMS WERE WRITTEN, BUT...'

Making candid remarks, Ender said, "Writing an anthem was a childhood dream of mine. Many anthems, both institutional and personal, have been written. However, they didn't gain public appreciation. I brought this anthem to Turkey, saying, 'I should be talked about for my work.' I felt as excited as if I were reciting a poem on April 23rd."

'AS IF WE AREN'T MUSICIANS'

Continuing his remarks, Norm Ender stated, "I don't understand those who ask, 'Can a rapper write an anthem?' It's as if we aren't musicians! I wanted to show this; we write rhythmic poetry, and writing anthems is our job anyway. Therefore, I wanted to do this."
