Damascus Airport resumes international flights

International flights have resumed at Damascus Airport, which had been closed due to attacks led by the jihadist group HTS in Syria that began on November 27. 

The news was announced by Eshed Salibi, head of the Civil Aviation and Air Transport Authority.

In his statement, Salibi announced that international flights had resumed, saying, "With the help of our partners, we are ensuring that these airports have the capacity to handle flights arriving from all over the world."
