Özgür Demirtaş issues warning regarding the Crypto Law expected in 2024

Renowned economist and finance expert Prof. Dr. Özgür Demirtaş stated that Turkey will introduce a Crypto Law in early 2024, expressing that preparing this law with a liberal approach would provide great benefits to the country.

Demirtaş emphasized that Turkey has strong software experts and said that the country could achieve significant success in the field of Blockchain.

However, arguing that the law should definitely not be restrictive, Demirtaş noted that, for example, banning foreign exchanges could cause billions of dollars to flee from Turkey.

Pointing out that regulations should be made to encourage Blockchain engineers to come to Turkey, Demirtaş emphasized that it is important for the government and lawmakers to cooperate with industry leaders.

Preparing this law to be as liberal as possible would provide great benefits to the country.

There are very solid software developers in Turkey. As a country, we can create wonders in the field of Blockchain.

But for this, the law must never lean towards BANS. For example, banning everything except domestic exchanges would cause billions of dollars to flee from Turkey. Instead, a regulation that also paves the way for Blockchain engineers to come to Turkey would ensure that billions of EXTRA dollars flow into our country.

It would be of great benefit for the government and lawmakers to prepare this in collaboration with the leaders of this sector.
