Warning on 'water consumption' from İSKİ General Manager Şafak Başa to citizens: 'The drought trend continues'
İSKİ General Manager Şafak Başa warned Istanbul residents about water consumption during the summer months via his social media account. Başa stated, "With rising temperatures, our daily water consumption is increasing very rapidly. The drought trend also continues."
Istanbul Water and Sewerage Administration (İSKİ) General Manager Şafak Başa issued a warning to citizens living in Istanbul regarding water consumption.
In a statement made on his social media account X, Başa noted that while dam occupancy rates are 48.44 percent better than last year, caution is still necessary.

Şafak Başa used the following expressions: ''Today we have entered the summer season. Our dam occupancy rates are at 79.28 percent. We are in a better situation compared to last year (48.44 percent). However, with rising temperatures, our daily water consumption is increasing very rapidly. I
n Istanbul, we consumed 3 million 385 thousand 905 cubic meters of water yesterday. According to the meteorological map, the drought trend continues. Let us use our water carefully for a comfortable summer period.''
